"Vote Yes on Prop 2" "Spokane Firefighters Endorse Prop 2" and depicting a photo of three firefighters in full uniform firefighting gear including helmets. "Paid for by Safer Spokane". The 'fire station number' on the center of the helmets is "29" with text surrounding the number (we can assume the number represents IAFF Local 29, the firefighter's Union). .

The City Fire Department and the Chief and the Union should be sued, as well as persons involved having criminal charges filed for City and State ethics laws and also for criminal violations through the State statutes prohibiting political activism in Emergency Management. Where is Committee to Protect Spokane's Economy on this?? Michael Cathcart? Anyone?
We know from the writings and postings on the Lands Council webpage, written by Laura Ackerman and including arrogant writings of Dave Kovack and others in the Union also published by Laura Ackerman that the IAFF Local 29 is firmly in bed with the Lands Council in the pursuit of the agenda of Thomas Linzey, Breean Beggs, James Sheehan, Todd Eklof, Jim Lee, and of course Chief Brian Schaeffer.
We know from history that Schaeffer violates STATE LAW by, as a sheer minimum, violating the spirit of the law regulating "Emergency Management" functions in the state - both local and State - from political activities, punishable through RCW 38.52.150. (see attached archived document) 2-3 times in 2016, in the press and in public protests/rallies/events, Brian Schaeffer when he was only "Acting" chief and might have been able to claim he was not in fact the chief so he could not be punished for presenting the City of Spokane government, through the formal use of the Fire Department, as in favor or opposed to a specific political campaign or partisan leaning - especially in speaking out against fossil fuels by rail when never pointing out other far more dangerous cargo or commodities shipped by rail. We know that in early (Feb) 2017 Brian Schaeffer ordered the posting of political posters by Mainstreet Alliance and George Soros financed Alliance for a Just Society at the entrance to every fire department in the City.
The six progressive members of the Spokane city council are complicit with the Fire fighters union as they are also in favor of the horrible prop 2. These individuals have no love for Spokane. I would include those who are running for city council seats such as Kate Burke, Breean Beggs and Candace Mumm.
RCW 38.52.120. Political activity prohibited. No organization for emergency management established under the authority of this chapter shall participate in any form of political activity, nor shall it be employed directly or indirectly for political purposes. RCW 38.52.150. Orders, rules, regulations-- Enforcement-- Availability-- Penalty. ( 1) It shall be the duty of every organization for emergency management established pursuant to this chapter and of the officers thereof to execute and enforce such orders, rules, and regulations as may be made by the governor under authority of this chapter. Each such organization shall have available for inspection at its office all orders, rules, and regulations made by the governor, or under his or her authority. ( 2 )( a) Except as provided in (b) of this subsection, every violation of any rule, regulation, or order issued under the authority of this chapter is a misdemeanor. ( b) A second offense hereunder the same is a gross misdemeanor.
