What Is It?
A unique and systematic reading program primarily based on phonics and phonemic awareness instructions, that will teach young kids as young as toddlers 2 or 3-years-old to read.
The program creator, Jim Yang has effectively used this program to teach his 3 kids to read before they turned 3.
There have been research that show that phonemic awareness is highly efficient in assisting young kids to manipulate phonemes (person sounds) to sound out words and in decoding printed text. Research have also shown that teaching reading utilizing the phonics technique produces more effective and fluent readers.
This plan consists of 50 small lessons, broken down into Stage 1 and Stage 2.
Jim recommends that parents start their reading program about 2.5 years old as that is the time the kid is in a position to speak more clearly. If your younger toddler has more sophisticated speech development, you can start your child earlier.
You won’t be sitting your child in front of the Tv or pc screen for the lessons. Rather, you will be spending high quality time going via the step-by-step lessons with your child. Who Is It For?
