What Is It?
A distinctive and systematic reading program primarily based on phonics and phonemic awareness instructions, that will teach young kids as young as toddlers 2 or 3-years-old to read.
The plan creator, Jim Yang has effectively used this plan to teach his 3 kids to read before they turned 3.
There have been research that show that phonemic awareness is extremely effective in helping young kids to manipulate phonemes (individual sounds) to sound out words and in decoding printed text. Research have also shown that teaching reading utilizing the phonics method produces more successful and fluent readers.
This program consists of 50 small lessons, broken down into Stage 1 and Stage 2.
Jim recommends that parents start their reading plan about 2.5 years old as that is the time the kid is in a position to speak much more clearly. If your younger toddler has more sophisticated speech development, you can start your child earlier.
You will not be sitting your child in front of the Television or pc screen for the lessons. Rather, you will be spending quality time going via the step-by-step lessons with your child. Who Is It For?
