As you may or may not know, I'm tge Game Admin Le0ben and I'm in charge of correcting the French version of the game and translating it in English so that an English version is available as soon as new content is released.

 

I'm an experienced translator but, as English is not my mother tongue, I'd like native speakers of English to review the English version and make sure that the expressions used are always ok or if they need to be tweaked.

 

If you also happen to understand French (or if you are able to translate it), it's even better. Let me know in this thread if you are interested and if you think you have a good enough level in English and in French so that I can give you access to the translators' forum and the translation tool (that you will use to proofread).

 

In this forum, there is a topic called "English proofreading" that you can use to report problems.

 

I will also sometimes ask for your opinions on some future game terms. The English version is very important for the game as it is the one used as a source language for the other languages. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I'm Nike, here at least.

 

I would like to get involved part-time if you don't mind.

 

I am pretty good in both languages.

 

1. Very good in both, I believe...

2. Well my mother is English, my father is French and I'm French Canadian so french is my mother tongue but not my mother's ;-)

3. None at all but I can try...

4. Couple Hours a day (1-3), depending...

Hello Nike,

About the fact that you've never translated before, that means you'll have to be extra careful on some stuff until you get enough experience. For instance, never modify a game term, those must be the same everywhere otherwise it'll confuse the players.

Did you start suggesting better translations in English? If you have, I can go and check them.

I am born and raised in the United States.  I write at the college level.  I studied French for four years in high school and was an exchange student in France for a month.  As long as I don't have to try and pronounce the words, I am pretty good at reading it.  I do not have experience in translating, other than what I did for school.  I am available to proofread Monday through Friday.

It's to proofread the game in English, not about other languages .
If you want to translate the game in another language, it's there: http://www.marchofhi...-your-language/ . But to do so, you need at least to either understand French or English.
