"A character with a prestigious title can create prestigious titles that are lower in the hierarchy. Thus, a Duke may create titles of Count or Viscount.
This creation is done either for the account of the person in question, or for the account of one of his vassals.
To create a title, it is necessary that the character (or its vassal in the case of a title created for a vassal) owns, directly or indirectly (through a chain of vassalage) a number of territories de jure . This number must be exactly:
- 3 for a Viscount
- 5 for a County
- 7 for a Duchy
This creation is done by treaty. You must select the category of creation of prestigious title. There, a father title is selected, it is the one who has the claims on the land that will be used to create the title.
Thus, to create a viscount, one must at least be a count, but a duke or a king can also do so. Once their father title is chosen, they select the titles that the recipient of the title possesses (de jure or suzeraineté) and which are among the claims of the title father. A seigneury possessed de facto does not allow the creation of a title.
Once the title is created, it will automatically appear in the list of prestigious titles and can be taken (not activated at the moment).
It should be noted that a seigneurial title can be used for several higher titles, interweaving the claims even more closely."
My question is:
what are the consequences of both actions and what is the easiest and without any risk for the kingdom?
because I want to create, or transfer a title of Duke for all players that are active in my Kingdom of Poland.
thanks
