I have Besieged Jihlava and started an Assault. After one day in the game, the assault ends without any notification as to why.

 

I have 1500 troops, 11 Bombards, and 2 Trebuchet, so I have more then enough to launch an assault and keep it up.

 

Any idea what the problem is or should I open a Bug report?

Who is the owner of the city? Is the garrison appears in the attackers side too?
Can you post a screenshot of your siege, all armies participating? Thx.

Lodz is the owner of the city and, in this case, the garrison does not also appear as a besieger. (I've seen it happen.)

 

I just noticed that the defender of Jihlava is Vannes (Vannes is one of my allies) , but Lodz is shown as the Owner - de jure and de facto on the Powers screen.

 

I know that Vannes originally took the city from Lodz, but it reverted back at some point.

 

The same thing happened to me with Wizna.

 

1) I took the city

2) it reverted back

3) I had trouble re-taking it (the garrison appeared on both sides)

4) I finally re-took the city

5) 2 days after taking the city and 2 political points increasing my influence in the city - it reverted back to Lodz.

I know, okay.

Jihlava is owned De Jure by Lodz. A character of Lodz, not activated, owns the title Lord of Jihlava (maybe it's still the case?).
Vannes declares the war and takes the city De Facto.
The HoH of Vannes dies and the city is so given back to Lodz. (this bug is known)
Then you arrive to siege the city, Vannes is not in war against Lodz anymore. You start an assault, it doesn't work, because the garrison is your ally Vannes.

Is the Lord of Jihlava owned by a character not activated?
Is Vannes still in war with Lodz?

What you can try is to break all your alliance links with Vannes, then start a new assault. Not sure it would work, but probably.

I finally took Jihlava via Siege and found that Vannes has 22% influence and 78% was No Allegiance.

 

Lodz currently has Viscount of Tychy and Viscount of Warsaw.

 

Lodz is not an active player which is why we moved on the lands.

 

As far as the bug, does only one city revert back? That might explain what happened to me with Wizna.

I see one of the characters, Aouregon de Lodz, has Lady of Wizna and Lady of Jihlava (De jure) in her possession list.
