This morning I ordered the construction of the market then I read this message:

 

21 July 1106 - The construction of the building Great market in Spoleto has been cancelled because the construction of Great market in Terni just finished.

 

I know there can only be a large market among neighbors, but is it normal that I have not received the 3000 gold and materials? Are the taxes of a day ...

Oh realy? So if you for example build a house.. buy Resources, Hire Workers and so on and than suddenly decide to stop the construction, would you than get your money back?

Or, even more specific - you begin the construction of a great attraction to draw all the merchants to your region, however, so does your neighbour. Your neighbour finishes first so all the merchants agree that his village should be the main trading hub of the local region. Your construction now serves no point - as none of the merchants (that would have increased your economic activity) will come. You've already built the building, but no-one uses it anymore, as there is already the other attraction nearby with buyers and sellers coming from all over the region to it already. Why travel to two different local attractions when you can get all the same deals at the existing one?!

Lucasopa is right, a Great Market is not only a building, this is matter of influence, of politics

you'd be right if I had finished the construction and no merchant came to me.
but here it has stopped the construction of the building.
am i or not a count of 1100?
it is unthinkable that a nobleman in 1100 could not get the money back in his own land, ahah really xD
