I would add there should be a delay before the game starts like it was in the past....

1. Random

2. Never played a 50-100 players so why not ?

3. Pause , in somes circumstances could be great but i always play with no pause because it's a part of strategy

4. 1day = 1year

Wouldn't it be possible to open two games at the same time, one with 50/100 and one with 850/1000 ? This way it would satisfy both sides... for the other settings I would side with the majority.
